Dan Scholzen, archivist at Miller Brewing Company, takes us into the collections to get a peek at some rare objects that explore the story of Miller High Life.


Dan Scholzen is a native of southeastern Wisconsin and grew up in the heart of High Life country. He received an M.A. in History from DePaul University and an MLIS degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Dan has been the Miller Brewing Co. Corporate Archivist since September 2016. Previous to that, he worked at the Chicago History Museum, the Ward Irish Music Archives, and the Mount Mary University Archives.

Dan’s primary responsibilities at Miller include collecting, organizing, and preserving archival collections which include paper-based records, objects & artifacts, photographs, and various audiovisual material. He also manages the Miller History Center, a small museum and collection space in the Milwaukee corporate headquarters, and also responds to research requests from both internal and external stakeholders.
