We like beer and we like collaborations. So we thought we’d do something special to celebrate the Illinois Bicentennial and the Tricentennial of New Orleans. The Chicago Brewseum, along with Illuminated Brew Works (Chicago), the Southern Food & Beverage Museum and Urban South Brewery (New Orleans), joined forces to brew a collaborative beer rooted in the shared history and culture of Chicago and New Orleans.

We invite you to gather with us for the official Chicago release of Two Levees, a kettle-soured farmhouse ale crafted with oats, wheat and raspberries - ingredients native to both areas.

Enjoy an evening of live music featuring the music of  American Draft, ADT, Bobby Peru & the Deep Sounds as well as Creole food samples prepared by Chef Christopher Reed of The Rice Table.  We’ll also have a bottle share and a big ol’ bonfire.  We'll have some beer but this is a tried and true bottle share, so please bring beverages for your enjoyment and for the enjoyment of others. Limited tastings of Two Levees will be available until they’re not.

About Two Levees

This kettle-soured farmhouse ale crafted with wheat, oats and raspberries, was inspired by Chicago and New Orleans and our shared French history and the explorers who discovered water routes that would connect both of our cities and allow for the trade of food, culture, and people.  And the name refers not only to water, but to the fact that both locales have a delicious history engaged in having a sometimes seedy and windy bon temps all around. It's culture, collaboration and community at its finest and we're thankful for our partners all over the globe.
