Earlier this year, we came together with our friends at Casa Humilde Cerveceria and the National Museum of Mexican Art to craft a beer that celebrated the life of Frida Kahlo and the opening of the special temporary exhibition, Frida Kahlo: Her Photos.

As our conversations continued, we recognized that Frida Kahlo, an internationally important Mexican icon of femininity, creativity, sexuality, authenticity, perseverance, and triumph deserved not one unique cultural beer collab, but two.

We invite you to join us for the special release of Viva La Vida, a watermelon sour ale inspired by Frida Kahlo’s painting of the same name.

During this summertime happy hour, guests will have the chance to drink both Viva La Vida and Viva La Frida, the original hibiscus lime lager that has been rebrewed for this special and festive occasion. You will also have the chance to hear from the collaborators and learn about the stories behind both beers and the Brewseum, National Museum of Mexican Art, and Casa Humilde partnership.

Remarks from exhibition curators and beer collaborators will take place at 6:30pm.

This event is free. Frida Kahlo: Her Photos closes at the National Museum of Mexican Art on August 7th.
