Taverns have long been important gathering spaces and critical components to building the Chicago we know today. We invite you to gather for a special evening that celebrates the spaces, food, and drink that builds the community they create.
Join us at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery for a four-course dinner inspired by historic foodstuffs that would have been served in Chicago area taverns during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Each dish is carefully paired with both a beer and a side of history. Beer Culture Center Executive Director, Liz Garibay will discuss the connections to the past, Chef Taylor Bischof shares insight into each one of her dishes, and head brewer Megan Schwarz talks about her brews.
$99 ticket includes dinner, paired beers, tax, and gratuity.
