In 1893 Chicago hosted one of the biggest and most important parties ever. The World’s Columbian Exposition featured countless innovations, inventions, and cultural sensations. It took the world by storm and catapulted Chicago into the 20th century.

But what is less known is that works of art by important Mexican and Chicago artists were a part of this wondrous World’s Fair. And lucky for us, the National Museum of Mexican Art currently has some of those works on display in their exhibition, Arte Diseño Xicágo II: From the World’s Fair to the Present Day. But not for long!

We invite to join us for a special last look at the exhibition before it closes. After you take a peek, gather with us in the Museum’s Courtyard to celebrate summer and the intermingling of beer traditions. We’ll have tastings of a very special limited seasonal beer from our friends at Goose Island Beer Company. With an abundance of grapefruit and effervescence, La Palomita is a Saison that pays homage to the classic Paloma cocktail. Subtle spice and slightly smoky, the beer is aged in freshly emptied tequila barrels to give it that authentic oak and fruity finish. Bring your friends, your thirst, and your ID, because this gathering is 21+. This event is FREE.

Thanks to our friends at the National Museum of Mexican Art and Goose Island Beer Company for collaborating on this event.
