The art of marking skin with ink is over 5,000 years old and it continues to evolve. It transcends time and cultures. It is a means to tell stories, express identity and build community. And beer does that too. Join us for an evening where we explore the history and synergy of tattoos and beer.
Arrive at The Field Museum for a flight of specially brewed Field Museum beers such as Tooth & Claw and PseudoSue. After the museum doors close to the rest of the world, we head into TATTOO for a private guided experience in the exhibition where we’ll look at themes and how they relate to both the tattoo and beer communities. From there we board a trolley and head to Illuminated Brew Works where founder, Brian Buckman, shares his thoughts on brewing and tattooing. Next stop is Metropolitan Brewing where guests will enjoy beer while co-founder, Tracy Hurst, discusses how the tattoo culture plays a role in their brewery culture. We conclude at Logan Arcade to wrap up the beer and tattoo story.
Only 25 spots are available for this incredibly rare event. Thanks to our generous partners, 100% of proceeds benefit The Chicago Brewseum. The Chicago Brewseum is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Your purchase is tax-deductible. Purchase tickets HERE.
